We use three different types of Damar paints, depending on your needs, the type of marking to be done, and the surface we're going to paint. We'll select the best paint for your situation when we do your site visit. We also use Damar Sealants, these are essential for high traffic areas as they can extend the life of your markings by years, a significant saving for minimal outlay.

Damar Chlorinated Rubber Paint

This paint is a blend of modified alkyd and chlorinated rubber resin-based paint with a higher level of durability than traditional alkyd road marking paints. It's typically best used for applications on road surfaces with a relatively high vehicle traffic count. It dries rapidly in under 10 minutes at 25°C but cannot be applied when the surface is wet or below 10°C.

Dama Beadlock Floor Paint | Pave-Mark Ltd

Damar Beadlock Paint

Beadlock is one of Damar's new generation solvent-borne acrylic road marking paints, possessing many of the attributes of traditional waterborne acrylic paint but with the same tolerance to temperature and humidity typical of solvent borne paint. It offers much greater flexibility to our remarking process as it can be applied in a much wider range of conditions. This allows it to dry within 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the weather and the surface temperature. It also has exceptional adhesion and durability and excellent UV resistance. We can even add beads or anti-skid where required.

Duraglaze Sealant | Pave-Mark Ltd

Duraglaze Sealant

If your floor markings need to be able to be cleaned on a regular basis or are in areas subject to high wear, handling, and traffic, then we strongly advise the use of a DuraGlaze sealant over the top of the paint.

DuraGlaze provides a clear non-yellowing chemical-resistant surface glaze, which forms a hard easily cleaned transparent sealant over the top of the paint. It is ideally suited for overcoating warehouse paint floor markings and to extend the life of car park and road markings when in high-traffic areas.

Line Marking Paint

& Sealant FAQs

What type of paint do you use for line marking?

We use Damar top-quality chlorinated rubber road paint, Highway anti-skid and Beadlock paints, chosen specifically for their durability under NZ weather and traffic conditions.

Why chlorinated rubber paint over standard paint?

It bonds more effectively to asphalt and concrete, resists fading and cracking, and holds up far longer under vehicle and foot traffic than standard exterior paints.

Why should I use the Duraglaze sealant?

For areas under heavy wear, such as entrances, turning bays and factory thoroughfares, we highly recommend the Duraglaze protective top coat to extend the life of the markings. The cost saving in the extended lifespan of the markings always exceeds the cost of the additional sealant.

Is the paint you use durable in New Zealand weather conditions?

Yes, Damar paints are specifically formulated to withstand UV exposure, rain and temperature swings without early fading or cracking, so your investment holds its value between repaints.
