Car Park Line Marking FAQs

How often should car park lines be repainted?

Most car parks need a refresh every one to two years, depending on traffic volume and weather exposure. High-traffic retail and commercial sites often need it closer to annually. This is where we'll recommend you use a sealant to extend the life of the markings.

Can you redesign my car park layout, not just repaint the existing lines?

Yes. If your current layout wastes space or causes congestion, we can plan a new layout that fits more vehicles in safely, or improves traffic flow, before we mark it.

Do you mark accessible and mobility parking to New Zealand compliance standards?

Yes. All mobility parking, symbols and signage are marked to meet current NZ accessibility requirements, so you stay compliant and avoid the risk of a non-conforming car park.

Can you install wheel stops and speed humps as well as paint lines?

Yes. We supply and fit wheel stops and speed humps alongside line marking, so your car park is finished in one visit rather than needing a separate contractor.

How long does it take to mark a car park?

Most standard car parks are completed within a day. Larger sites or full layout changes may take longer, we'll confirm timing on the free quote. We work in sections and can schedule around your busiest hours, so you rarely need to close the whole car park at once. Be aware that we cannot lay paint in the rain, or if it's really windy.

How long does it take before vehicles can drive over the paint

Because of the specialist paint we use, it can be driven over in as little as 30 minutes in good conditions (warm and dry), but may take up to an hour to cure for heavy traffic sites or in poor conditions, such as when it's cold and/or wet.

Do you offer EV bay marking?

Yes. We mark and stencil EV parking bays to current standards, an increasingly common request as more businesses add charging infrastructure.
